I am technically the 'dev' of this project, a term in memecoin crypto which usually just means, the guy who clicked 'create coin' on pump.fun.
Like most coin creators these days, the real skillset I bring as of the start of this project (December 2024) is more akin to a content creator and artist with some light technical skills, and far from being a true software developer. The rest of the 'team' is comprised of friends and good people I've met on my crypto journey, along with some big brain people who noticed the coin launch on pump.fun, caught the vibe and leaned in early.
We are here to have fun, we aren't here to tell you what to do, we aren't your parents or your preacher, but if you are new to meme coins there are a few things that we feel should be repeatedly emphasized up front:
No crypto project can or should guarantee you financial gains, profits, rewards or really any outcome at all. If they do, run. This space is highly volatile and rapidly evolving, and investments in this space can and often do go to ZERO in minutes, even if the team is comprised of angelic tech geniuses with millions in backing. We highly recommend you size your investments appropriately such that a complete loss would not jeopardize your quality of life, relationships, etc.
There is no formal organizational structure, roles, titles or anything else of that nature behind this project. This is essentially an art collective who work on this as a hobby. As of the time of writing this there is no concept of 'employment' here. Your participation in this project, even if paid for by community members or project wallets, is equivalent to going to the farmers market and trading a painting you made for a sandwich someone else made.
Part of memecoin culture is to say things like 'a billion is programmed' or 'we're going up next week' and we aren't here to step on those who try to hype up our project within the context of this culture, but just know that you should take all statements about future price movement or value, even if they come from people who appear to be leaders in the project, as essentially jokes that are meant to keep people having fun. Nobody here can tell the future, and therefore no claims about future price action or value should be taken seriously enough to influence your investment decisions.
As this project grows in value and in member count, it will be subject to forces much larger than the 'dev' and early participants can control on their own. It WILL require more people to become active participants to keep the culture and the vibe the way we set out to. Ultimately no community members, including the dev, can control what other members or groups or subsets within the community decide to do with their coins or their actions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, this project is not connected to or affiliated with any other project, network, business or asset of any member of the community.
Most projects these days are short lived and focused on their one big pump, after which they whither or implode in spectacular fashion. This project was started with the intention to be long lasting and so far so good, but anything can happen.
Most crypto project roadmaps should be taken with a grain of salt, or several. We are trying to be realistic about what is reasonable for us to accomplish with the inputs we already have, vs what is a wild dream that would take additional skills and resources coming in to the project.
A 'Community Takeover' or 'CTO' is a recurring trend in memecoins where the 'dev' creates a coin and then at some point during its early life, sells their entire position, takes their profits and leaves the project. The community then decides the coin still has potential and to fight to restore the value of the coin and stick it to the 'dev' by making it worth a stupid amount so they regret selling. Because some CTO projects have now gone to billions of dollars market cap, many coins now pretend to be a CTO and create drama where the 'dev' who dumps is part of the launch stunt. In short, some CTOs are cool moments in the space, most are now fake and constructed.
Instead of going through the fake dev dump CTO drama, we just started this as an orgless project and started running it in the same style as good CTOs, but in this case the 'Dev' hasn't been dumping their accrued holdings and as of time of writing (Christmas 2024) intends to stay highly active in the project for a long time while continuing to let key community members take over important things like social accounts and coordinating outreach programs.
The 'team' working on this project, including the 'dev', all just bought into the coin's fair launch on on pump.fun. The is no formal organization, no roles, no titles, and no such thing as a 'paid position' in the project. Anyone who seems like a leader in the project is just someone who leaned in and got active and gained the trust of the other community members enough have some elevated permissions or control of different apps and platforms we have to use to succeed. This is nobody's full time job, and is more akin to an artistic hobby or passion project that we happen to be working on together. We are now all just enthusiastic holders with varying ability to contribute with our time, various skills and levels of trust and access within the community. This means anyone at anytime can join, lean in and rise within the community...and in fact, we need this to continue to happen. For this coin to reach our highest collective aspirations, many more good people will need to join and lock in with us, we hope you are one of them.
One of the reasons a lot of devs end up dumping and fleeing their project is they realize that to get their coin off the ground they have made too many wild roadmap claims and created a monstrous ball of expectations and hype that attracted a community full of smooth brained 'when marketing' and 'when lambo' gremlins with zero interest in the project other than the day they will dump the coin for some stupid gain.
We are going the opposite direction, setting realistic expectations, ignoring early price action and focusing on attracting and engaging good people. This methodical approach is much more likely to build and keep the early community comfortable going the distance on a project. The 'roadmap' for this coin is essentially a combination of vision boards of the dev and the people who jumped in on the coin early with new ideas constantly being added. Most of the people involved in this project, including the dev, are doing this to apply and evolve our own skills in this fun creative outlet that could theoretically go up in value, all while adding more like minded people to our collective network.
The early team clearly has some solid experience and some exciting ideas to build on.
